"Peter Principle," writing on the segway-open mailing list: "The Segway is *very* hard on the body in terms of shock from normal use. It's almost as bad as jogging. By not addressing this obvious issue in any way, Segway risks losing what is potentially their largest short term market - aging boomers with arthritis, bad knees, backs, necks, etc., that would love to be pedestrians again."
