Start negotiating

Mr. President, the problem isn't the U.S. addiction to oil. It's the addiction to a Driving Everywhere way of life:

In 1992 President George Bush snr signed the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change with the proviso that the American way of life was "non-negotiable".

    I love that, "non-negotiable". The negotiations are between nation states but the end result has to be sqaured with nature, nature will decide what the end result is and if its drough and storms for the US then just maybe this concept of amricas way of life will be impacted anyway.
